The winner of the 2023 Career Development Grant is Brianna Kolybaba, an opera and theatre designer from Calgary. This grant will enable her to:
• explore the integration of new media and technology into the age-old art of opera, and the practical skills to do so.
• broaden her knowledge in new media design through exhibits, workshops and lectures, and additionally allow her to bring the knowledge back to Canadian opera design practices and aspiring production students.
• attend lectures and workshops, which teach practical, usable skills in programming new media.
